22nd and Lake 4 way stop signs installed

This spring, an accident where a child riding a scooter to school was struck by a vehicle at the 22nd and Lake Street intersection. At a meeting held by the Country Club neighborhood, numerous community members came forward with ideas and calls for action. Many residents have been asking for a 4 way stop at this intersection, but the city has been unable to install one due to design standards. Irvingdale, Country Club, and Indian Village wrote letters to the city regarding the interaction and the desired outcomes.

After working with the city, a traffic study was performed at the request of our community, which has led to the installation of additional stop signs at this intersection. The Irvingdale neighborhood association will continue to keep an eye out for improvements to our community, and advocate for those changes to the City!
